Purpose

Through the Indigenous Youth Leadership Working Group, young people have an opportunity to share their ideas, help shape the event and bring their perspectives into the planning and delivery of the Flotilla.

The goal is to create meaningful opportunities for Indigenous youth to lead, connect and contribute while building relationships with community organizations and first responders.

About the Group

The Indigenous Youth Leadership Working Group brings together young people who are helping shape the 25th annual Flotilla for Friendship.

Working alongside the Ottawa Police Service and community partners, members contribute ideas and perspectives on the event experience, activities, communications and youth engagement.

The Working Group is designed to ensure that youth voices are reflected throughout the Flotilla and to create opportunities for leadership, collaboration and community connection.
