Join us for the 25th annual Flotilla for Friendship, a day of connection, culture and shared experiences bringing Indigenous youth, first responders and community together on and off the water.

- Registration and breakfast begin at 8:00 a.m.
- Event programming runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Activities will also take place at Dow’s Lake as part of the paddling route.
Who Can Participate
The Flotilla welcomes:
- Indigenous youth of all ages
- Police and first responders
- Community organizations and partners
- Members of the public interested in taking part
What to Expect
Flotilla for Friendship is a full day of paddling, cultural activities, food, music and opportunities to connect.
Participants will gather at Mooney’s Bay for the opening program before paddlers make their way to Dow’s Lake. Programming and lunch will take place at Dow’s Lake before participants continue through the day’s activities.
Programming will also be available for those who are not participating on the water.
Canoe Participation
Canoe participation is available through advance registration.
Priority for canoe participation is given to Indigenous youth.
Space in canoes is limited and participation is subject to availability and safety requirements.
Meals and Refreshments
Breakfast, snacks and lunch will be provided throughout the day.
Please identify any dietary requirements when registering.
What to Bring
- Comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Closed toe or comfortable footwear
- A reusable water bottle
- Sunscreen
- A hat
- Any personal medication required during the day
Water Safety
Safety is a priority throughout the Flotilla.
Participants taking part in canoe activities will receive a water safety briefing before departure. Life jackets and required paddling equipment will be provided.
Registration
Advance registration is required for participants wishing to take part in canoe activities.
Registration helps us coordinate transportation, meals, activities, safety and canoe capacity.
